Dancing in the Rain

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, but learning to dance in the rain. This simple phrase points to a profound truth — that existence will always include its storms. No one escapes the winds of loss, confusion, or uncertainty. The human impulse is often to seek shelter, to postpone living until the weather clears, until the perfect conditions appear. But perfection never arrives; the sky is always shifting.

The invitation, then, is not to fight the storm, but to move with it — to find rhythm in the chaos. The rain that soaks us also nourishes the earth. The same force that tests us refines us. When we learn to dance in the rain, we are no longer victims of circumstance but participants in life’s unfolding.

To dance in the rain is to say yes to this moment — not the imagined one we hoped for, but the real one we are given. It is to let go of control and find beauty even in the thunder. Every drop becomes a reminder that we are alive, that we belong to something larger than our fears.

So don’t wait for the storm to end. Step out barefoot. Feel the rain on your skin. Let it wash away resistance, and let your soul remember the joy of movement — not despite the storm, but because of it.

The Discovery That There Are No Problems Now

One of the most surprising discoveries on this journey is this: there are no problems now.

We think we have problems — so many of them. We carry them like stones in our pockets. But when you look closely, you realise that every problem exists only in thought — as a memory of something that happened, or a projection of what might come.

Right now — in this living moment — there is no problem. There may be sensations, there may be feelings, maybe even discomfort… but the problem is the mind’s story about what should or shouldn’t be.

The rain is just falling. That’s all. It’s not a problem until the mind says, “It shouldn’t be raining.”

So the question becomes: what happens when you stop arguing with what is? When you drop the story, even for a moment, you notice — peace was never gone. It was just covered up by commentary.

The present moment has never once been a problem. The “problem” begins the instant we leave the now — when we step into time, into “then” and “when.” Right here, there’s only awareness, only life happening, only the dance itself.

That’s why learning to dance in the rain isn’t just a poetic idea — it’s a doorway to truth. Because the rain, the storm, the so-called difficulty… is never the enemy. Only resistance makes it so.

When you realise there are no problems now, you begin to live differently. You move through the world lighter, freer. You act when action is needed, but without fear. You rest when rest is called for, but without guilt.

You start to see that life itself — even in its storms — has never truly been against you.

  1. Dear Maharishi
In reading this now – this whole being just says and experiences – Awe – an easy, limitless, natural, beingness. It’s relief and gratitude, it’s like a breath of fresh air now, and now and now. Thank you.
    Love Adya

Mil gracias 🙏 Laura Bello
